A reinterpretation of Mizuno's most successful model
Mizuno has a rich history, and so too the Mizuno Sky Medal S. First released as the Mizuno Sky Medal in 1993, a shoe that was in demand by avid athletes. The sneaker was worn during competitions and training sessions. The sneaker was popular because of its shape and construction that made it very comfortable.
The Sky Medal was not necessarily focused for athletic use and stood in the spotlight for other reasons as well. The name of the shoe was actually derived from its purpose of being a podium shoe that athletes would wear to receive their medals during competitions, for example. Mizuno modernizes the original Sky Medal with the release of the Sky Medal S, making the sneaker a combination of new, vintage, lifestyle & athleticism.
