A Y2K tribute.
New Balance 1906R, straight from the New Balance archive. The sneaker is designed as a tribute to the aesthetics of the tech-runners from the 2000s, a look we have seen more often since the dad shoe trend. The latest variations on the sneaker have brought the 1906R completely up to date. The new colorways embrace the origin of the sneaker and the accompanying Y2K look. The sneaker features a mesh upper with synthetic metallic overlays for a unique appearance. The whole thing sits on a rubber outsole.
The 1906R comes in three new Y2K colorways: silver metallic classic crimson seal salt, silver metallic blue agate sea salt & silver meallic sea salt new spruce. The 'classic crimson' uses an off-white base combined with silver metallic overlays, the sneaker is finished with various red details and a red 'N' logo. The 'blue agate' swaps out the red detailing for shades of blue. Slightly more subtle is the 'new spruce' which also uses an off-white base with metallic overlays, but this time with very subtle hints of deep green spread throughout the sneaker.
