After much anticipation, we welcome the 'Protection Pack' back into our collection.
We once named him the most wanted New Balance pack, and we still stand by this. The original and new releases are also regularly found at our team's feet. Our community is just as much a fan as we are, so the pairs fly out with every design.
The iconic jagged edges of the series and the worn-in look characterize the 2002R protection pack. This innovative idea can be credited to designer Yue Wu, who can be found online as flyin asparagus. Wu does really cool things in the field of sneaker design and thinks out-of-the-box. When the designer was young and lived in China with his family, he received a new pair of sneakers from his mother. This is a feeling he wants to convey with his designs. The childlike enthusiasm that you get when you find something cool and really want it.
This new release comes in three colorways; eclipse, sandstone, and dark moss. What distinguishes this model from its predecessors are the round elastic laces with closure, so you never have to worry about loose laces. The upper is made of nubuck leather and lightweight mesh for a balanced feel.
