A local mascot immortalized internationally.
Welcome to Kutztown, Pennsylvania, where the iconic Shadow 6000 comes to life thanks to a local mascot. The brave raccoon, known as 'Howdy', who fights against waste, is immortalized in Saucony's sneaker. Muted shades and the color scheme correspond to the unique characteristics of the mammal often found at Saucony Creek. By the way, this river is also where Saucony gets its name. In addition to the sneaker, the theme extends to a unique design for the shoebox.
The 'Good Manners Raccoon' grey beige colorway gives the Shadow 6000 a white outsole with an upper in gray and beige tones. But what really makes the sneaker unique is the raccoon look created by a combination of different suede and leather details. The furry suede not only gives the shoe a uniquely striped look, but also the feel of the raccoon's fur. This look & feel is also carried over to the black logo on the side of the shoe.
See you in Kutztown!
